Welcome to The Greasiest Spoon, a charming café nestled in the heart of Winchcombe, Cheltenham. With its inviting atmosphere and a focus on hearty, wholesome fare, this local gem is redefining what a café experience can be.

The Greasiest Spoon is known for serving an array of delicious breakfast and brunch items that cater to all tastes. Their menu features an enticing selection of sandwiches, including classic combinations like Ham and Cheese, Tuna Mayo, and the crowd-pleasing Coronation Chicken. But don't miss out on their delightful breakfast offerings—the vegetarian breakfast is a highlight, boasting perfectly cooked veggies and top-notch veggie sausages that will satisfy both meat lovers and herbivores alike. As one delighted customer, Robin Gemmell, happily noted, “The vegetarian breakfast was one of the best I've had...not those vegetable-filled things!”

The café’s atmosphere is warm and inviting, featuring cozy seating that encourages you to linger over your cup of proper, freshly brewed coffee served in ceramic mugs, just as it should be. Kate Leimer, a satisfied patron, emphasized the friendly service: “A courteous atmosphere and delicious food—my poached eggs arrived perfectly cooked and fresh granary toast was a delight.” Settle into one of the intimate tables and soak in the friendly vibes that this couple-run café thrives on.

And let’s not overlook the tempting snacks and sides! Indulge in their Cheesy Chips or enjoy a hearty Small Ham, 1 Fried Egg and Chips, perfect for fueling up before a day of exploring the scenic Cotswolds. Customers rave about the perfect texture of the baps, the quality of the bacon, and the care taken to prepare each dish. Hannah expressed her joy perfectly: “The baps are amazing here—very soft bread, nice bacon, eggs, and sausages!”

While the name might suggest something less than wholesome, don’t let it fool you—the Grеasiest Spoon prides itself on good quality food prepared with local ingredients and a loving touch. As Mops Said noted, “The food is worth the wait, and it's all freshly prepared.” Just remember that, being a small café run by a dedicated team of two, the service may slow a little during busy times, but this only adds to the quaint charm of your experience.

If you’re in the Cheltenham area, make sure to carve out some time to stop by The Greasiest Spoon. You won't just leave satisfied; you'll want to tell all your friends about this wonderful little corner of culinary warmth that captures the essence of local hospitality.

Delicious breakfast. If you don't want the fried bread, just ask them to switch it to toast. The vegetarian breakfast was one of the best I've had, with proper veggie sausages, not those vegetable filled things.

Friendly café, courteous service and delicious food. Prices reasonable. Clean premises and a friendly greeting on arrival. My poached eggs arrived in good time, perfectly cooked, swirled in boiling water and vinegar, sharpness of the vinegar offsetting the richness of the eggs. Granary toast fresh and nutty. Coffee, served in a proper mug. I visited at a quiet time so not many people in but I passed by later and saw that it’s popular for lunch.

Only open for breakfasts until 14.00? Well cooked using locally sourced food, none of yer "euro sausage" here! Ideal for setting you up for a days walking such as to Belas Nap.

Don't let the name fool you, this place serves good quality food at a reasonable price and you are unlikely to find mounds of grease on the tables and menus. Ran by a couple this cafe is small and quaint and has a cosy atmosphere. As there are only the two staff if many orders go in at the same time service may slow a little but the food is worth the wait and it is all freshly prepared. I've eaten almost everything on the menu now and everything has been good or great. I definitely would recommend this place and it's my preferred eatery in Winchcombe after having tried multiple local options. If I were to provide critique it would only be that the toilet is rather dank and could do with renovation and better ventilation.

The Greasiest Spoon is terrific. We always pop in when we're in Winchcombe. The cooked breakfasts are superb and the service is great. Thoroughly recommend it. Vegan breakfasts are also excellent. I just wish it was in Bishops Cleeve where we live!

Loved this cafe! Great vibe, friendly staff and the food was anything but greasy!!! It’s hard to elevate a cooked breakfast but this one was stand apart, you could taste the quality of the ingredients and cooked to perfection.
